Summer Family Camp

Situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron’s Prentiss Bay, Cedar Bay Camp and Retreat Center offers ten summer family camps – five at our Old Mill Point site and five, across the bay, at our Mariner’s Cove site. Summer Camps at Cedar Bay have been a much-appreciated retreat for families, couples, and single adults from around the country for over 30 years.

Family Camps at Cedar Bay

are designed to provide opportunities for families to be refreshed physically, spiritually, and relationally. Our mission-minded staff use hospitality and purposeful programming to help guests come away, meet God, and be renewed by His Spirit and His Word.

Each week of Family Camp runs from Saturday to Friday and features an engaging Biblical teacher, structured worship experiences, creative children’s programming, unprogrammed time for rest and building relationships, unique recreation opportunities, and much more.

Cedar Bay is Located

on the shores of Lake Huron, providing guests with plenty of opportunities for kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding and fishing. Relaxing in a lounge chair by the shore is a nice change of pace for those looking to unwind from the hustle and bustle of life. Cedar Bay’s 500+ acres is filled with developed trails, which makes exploring God’s creation accessible for families throughout their stay.

Family Camp 1

Guest Speaker: Cameron Anderson

Cameron Anderson is an artist and writer who living in Madison, Wisconsin where serves as the Associate Director of Upper House, a position he has held since 2018. From 2008 to 2018, Cam was the Executive Director of CIVA | Christians in the Visual Arts and from 1979 to 2008, he served on the staff of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, including an eight-year term as the National Director of the organization’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries. In 2016, his book, The Faithful Artist: A Vision for Evangelicalism and the Arts, was published by IVP Academic as a volume in their prestigious Studies in Theology and the Arts (STA) series. Five years later he, along with co-editor G. W. Hansen, completed God in the Modern Wing: Viewing Art Through the Eyes of Faith, another volume in the STA series. Cam holds a B.F.A. from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, an M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and has completed post-graduate coursework in Art History and Aesthetics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Guest Speaker: Cameron Arensen

Cameron (Cam) Arensen grew up in East Africa in a missionary family and went on to become a pastor/missionary himself. During 40 years of ministry he served churches in Alaska, Kenya, California and (for 25 years) in an international church in Abu Dhabi (the capital city of the United Arab Emirates). Cam is married to Esther Ruth (also a child of missionaries) and they have two sons and five grandchildren. The Arensens are retired and living in Bend, Oregon where Cam continues to share God’s Word through his writing and occasional conference speaking

Guest Speaker: Kent Darcie

Kent Darcie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Moody Theological Seminary. He counsels at Abundant Hope Counseling. Kent is also the founder of Adult Children of Divorce Ministries which, since 2004, has provided resources for adults with divorced parents to help them achieve healthy relationships with God, themselves, their spouse, and others.

Kent is a popular speaker, Bible teacher, and author of the book, “Choose a Better Path: Overcoming the Impact of Your Parents’ Divorce”. He has been married thirty-eight years to his high-school sweetheart, Kathy. They have three adult children and live in Southeast Michigan.

Guest Speaker: Keith Kunda

Dr. Keith Kunda has spent his life learning everything he can about his two passions—the Bible and music, and he has served Christ and His church in both those areas for over 40 years. Whether it was conducting an orchestra or choir, teaching a Sunday School class, or preaching weekly sermons, he has been a life-long student of worship and of the Word of God. Passionately committed to the belief that all the Bible is God's inerrant truth, he currently serves as the founding and senior pastor of Legacy Bible Church in Fishers, IN. He has recently had his book Understanding the Revelation published by Kharis Publishing. Dr. Kunda has been married for 35 years. He and his wife, a high school counselor, have one married daughter and two grandsons.

Pricing will depend upon your accommodations (your housing fee) and the number of people in your family (your program and meal fees). Upon registration, a $250 deposit/family will be required.

Tent & RV Sites (max unit size 30') - $215/site
Includes electrical hookup and water access , no sewer. Modern bathhouse nearby with laundry and private showers.

Taylor Lodge Rooms - $475/room
Private guest room - sleeps 4-6, queen bed with bunks. Nearby community bathroom and private showers.

Cabin Guest Rooms - $675/room
Private guest room with private bathroom - sleeps 4-6, queen bed with bunks. Shared kitchen and leisure area with other guests

Tent & RV Sites - $215/site
Electrical hookup, no water or sewer. Nearby modern community bathroom and private showers.

Willoughby Lodge Rooms - $475/room
Private guest room - sleeps 4-8, queen bed with bunks. Nearby community bathroom and private showers.

Point Cabins – $475/cabin

Cabin Guest Rooms - $675/room
